Free access (for all students, teachers and support staff) to the festival from Wednesday 11th March to Friday 13th March – simple booking process applies!
FIRST AID PROGRAM – Available for Senior students – NEW FOR 2026!
This is an event first for us, we’re keen to expand opportunities for students to learn via more than just written words and talking adults! With that comes a hybrid approach to a First Aid Qualification that will allow students to obtain NCEA credits through online and practical sessions.
MEDIA COMPETITION – Available for students from Year 7 upwards (including Tertiary)
Unleash your creativity and dive into the adrenaline-pumping world of Crankworx Rotorua! The Crankworx Rotorua 2026 Content Creation Competition invites Year 7 to Year 13 students to showcase their storytelling skills by creating captivating reels using exclusive footage from the Crankworx Rotorua media server.
With different prizes up for grabs, including an internship opportunity and media accreditation, this competition is your ticket to becoming a part of the Crankworx Rotorua legacy. So, gear up, get creative, and let your imagination run wild!
CWNEXT RACING – Available for students from 13 years to 18 years.
Students must register before 8th March 2026 NZDT, availability is limited.
A chance to test your skills in the MTB world against other students on professional grade courses in a variety of events.
No need to be a pro rider! If you’d like to have a crack at racing in a safe environment with peers your own age, we would love to have you compete!
No need for the school to be affiliated with Cycling NZ Schools, homeschool students welcome too!
Registration to a minimum of one race provides each student with free access to the whole event (even if not racing more than once).
KIDSWORX – Available for students from 6 years to 12 years.

Learn new skills and ride bikes for fun within a safe KIDS ONLY environment.
No pre-registration required, turn up and have a go!
Limited bikes are available to use, but we encourage you to bring your own.
