Crankworx Christchurch has officially landed for 2026!
From Thursday 19th – Sunday 22nd, join us onsite to witness:

If you’re planning on catching the action at CAP, everything you need to know is below!
Make sure you’ve got a ticket! Here’s all you need to know to get in:
- The festival is free for Locals to attend Thursday 19th and Friday 20th of February; however, Locals do require a ticket to access the event site. For Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd, you’ll need to upgrade to an Anytime Pass to see the action!
- If you are a Christchurch Adventure Park Annual Pass Holder, you can enter the festival for FREE for the whole week! Simply present your pass at the Guest Services building and we’ll exchange it for a full festival entry.
- All other attendees will need to purchase an Anytime Pass to access the festival from Thursday through to Sunday. You only need one pass, per person, for the whole week though!
- If you feel like elevating your experience, you can add-on a Premium Pass to your Anytime Pass and receive some sweet perks as part of your experience.

Downhill Access Information:
Access to Top of Redemption Downhill – via Chairlift (Spectator Spots 1-3)
Valid CAP Chairlift Pass or Crankworx Anytime Pass is required for free uplift.
Local’s Passes do not include free chairlift access; a separate chairlift pass can be purchased from the CAP Retail/Guest Services.
Walking Access to the Rock Gardens:
To access the track, please follow the trail directly under the chairlift to Tower #12. From there, turn right onto the access road and look out for the marked walking trail on your left. This will take you into the first rock garden. From there, you can follow the track down to explore the next rock gardens.
Biking Access:
- No access with Bikes via Racecourse
- Bikes can be left at the skid site off Summit Connection and walk in from there to Rock Gardens – via skid road 5 to the walking trail.
- Access to Rock Gardens can also be made via Wasabi (must be capable of riding Double-Black/Expert trail) bikes must be stored off trails and please exit via Wasabi.
- Access to mid-section can be made via access road from skid site at the end of Duncans Donut and Throw the Goat/Yoda. Please exit this area via Loose Connections or Active Rest.
Chairlift Operational Hours:
Thursday – 10.00am – 7.30pm
Friday – 10.00am – 7.00pm
Saturday – 9.00am – 7.30pm
Sunday – 9.00am – 5.00pm
Access to Bottom of Track – via Access Road (Spectator Spots 4-6):
Access to the large jump features on the lower section of the race track is via the access road to the left (east) of the chairlift. Please ensure this road is kept clear at all times for emergency vehicles.

Parking and Shuttle Information:
We encourage spectators to cycle or use public transport to access the event.
Extra bike racks will be available at the event village. The closest bus stops to CAP are 349 Hoon Hay Rd, Cashmere, or Princess Margaret Hospital, approximately a 20-minute walk or 8-minute bike ride away.
We will be running a free shuttle to/from CAP from a variety of local areas so that you can access the event easily. These shuttles will have bike trailers attached so you don’t have to pedal in. For more info and a map of pick up/drop off points, click here.
These stops are also on the Orbiter route, which operates from 6:00am–10:30pm weekdays and 6:30am–11:30pm weekends.
Parking on-site will be limited, and we will have a traffic management company assisting us.
Parking restrictions will be in place from 7am on Wednesday 18th February – 8pm on Sunday 22nd February to ensure no visitors park in the residential areas by CAP.
There is no Crankworx parking available in these areas.
