That’s a Wrap at Sun Peaks Resort for Crankworx BC

How do you best sum up an incredible three days of riding, competing, smashing records, and pushing limits? Casey Brown puts it perfectly: “Sun Peaks is sick.”

With athletes stoked to be riding during all-time-fall-time, bringing their A game to every race, and having a little bit of fun on the sidelines, Crankworx BC is off to a strong start!

The vibes have been high, the riding has been stellar, and the Crankworx community has come together once again to cheer on some of the best mountain bike athletes in the world.

Just take a look at some of the moments that have made these past few days so special…

Keegan Wright was stoked to test out the Specialized Dual Slalom Sun Peaks course.

Local wildlife wanted to get in on the action too…

15-year-old Tegan Cruz put down an incredible run against the legend Mick Hannah in Specialized Dual Slalom Sun Peaks.

12-year-old Tayte Proulx Royds blasted through the Crankwork Air DH Sun Peaks course as a forerunner!

The sunset during Crankworx Air DH Sun Peaks gave Lily Boucher all the all-time-fall-time riding vibes.

Vaea Verbeeck and Bas van Steenbergen both took two gold medals in one day with wins in Specialized Dual Slalom Sun Peaks and Crankworx Air DH Sun Peaks.

Joe Breeden decided to get a quick workout in ahead of racing in Crankworx Downhill Sun Peaks.

Garret Mechem absolutely shredded the Crankworx Downhill Sun Peaks course as he raced against the clock.

The gals took in the view as they shared a ride to the top of the course.

The guys shared in a celebratory dinner after cheering each other on the past few days.

Our time at Sun Peaks Resort has come to a close, but the memories that we have created here will last a lifetime.

This place truly is special – full of charm, character, and adventure – offering access to insane mountain biking trails, once-in-a-lifetime views and enough outdoor activities to make even the most experienced wilderness explorer happy.

The question is not if we’ll be back, but when…

For now, we’re hitting the road again and making our way to Kicking Horse Mountain Resort for the second stop along Crankworx BC.
