Jordy Scott and Ryan Gilchrist Claim Pump Track Challenge Gold to Open Crankworx SilverStar 2026
Crankworx SilverStar kicked off Friday night with the Pump Track Challenge presented by RNDM, chainless head-to-head racing that rewards momentum and bike handling around berms over one of the tightest, fastest formats on the Crankworx calendar.
Built by former King of Crankworx Bas Van Steenbergen and his RNDM Trail Co. team, the course is the latest signature from a builder who’s become a fixture behind some of this season’s best courses on the Crankworx World Tour, having shaped the Dual Slalom track and Whip-Off jump at Whistler and lent his hand to the Slopestyle course build at Mont-Sainte-Anne.
Jordy Scott and Ryan Gilchrist Sweep Pump Track Gold
Dubbed “Queen of Pump Track” by announcer Derek Foose, Jordy Scott took the win in the Women’s Elite final, backing up her titles from 2023 and 2025, and sending first-year Elite Isla O’Connor to silver. Emmy Lan and Taylor Ostgaard, both racing this course for the first time and more regularly found on Downhill or Enduro start lines than a Pump Track, battled it out for bronze, with Taylor Ostgaard coming out on top, bouncing back from a crash in an earlier heat to seal the medal on her first trip to Crankworx SilverStar.
On the men’s side, Ryan Gilchrist proved unbeatable once again, backing up his spot atop the current King of Crankworx standings with the win over Tegan Cruz, the standings’ current runner-up, who claimed silver. Bronze came down to fractions of a second: Vernon local and course architect Bas Van Steenbergen pushed hard for a podium finish on his own build, but Alejandro Alcojor Ramos edged him out to claim his first-ever Crankworx medal.

A Day for Every Category
It wasn’t just the Elite ranks putting on a show. Kidsworx opened the course, and U17, U19, and Masters categories followed through the afternoon alongside the Elite ranks, each bringing their own battles to the same tight berms. The depth of talent across every age group made for a stacked day of head-to-head racing – tight enough to produce high intensity racing and a few final-heat knock-outs. Between the energy the athletes brought to the course and the good vibes coming from the crowd lining the course, the Pump Track Challenge presented by RNDM put itself in the conversation for best Pump Track event of the 2026 season.
The course did its part too. It’s the latest build from Bas Van Steenbergen and RNDM Trail Co., who delivered a standout Dual Slalom course at Crankworx Whistler just last week – back-to-back builds that have set a high bar for what a Van Steenbergen track can do to a field.
Friday night wrapped with the festival’s opening party, setting the tone for a weekend that only gets bigger from here.

Saturday brings a full day of action: Kidsworx DH presented by Tourism Vernon takes the hill, Crankworx SilverStar DH runs Group A Seeding in the morning to set the field for Sunday’s finals, and SilverStarSlopestyle presented by Signature Finals hits the course at 4 PM. This are the Slopestyle Super League Playoffs, where the top 3 women and top 7 men punch their tickets to the SSL Final at Crankworx Mont-Sainte-Anne. Alma Wiggberg, Zoe Witwicki, and Lisa-Marie Blanc headline the women’s field, while Lucas Huppert, Erik Fedko, Dane Folpp, Tim Bringer, Ben Thompson, Kaidan Ingersoll, and Lukas Skiöld lead a loaded men’s start list. We’re closing out the festival with a classic Downhill Sunday: finals across all categories on Dag’s DH trail, with Continental Series, Canada Cup, and BC Cup points on the line. Tegan Cruz returns as defending SilverStar DH winner and reigning Crankworx DH Series Champion, while Mille Johnset defends her title on the women’s side against Sian A’Hern and Emmy Lan.
