Building a New Global Enduro Series: An Update

Since announcing the launch of a new global Enduro Series earlier this year, the response to the Crankworx team from across the mountain bike world has been nothing short of overwhelming. Athletes, destinations, and event organizers globally have reached out with enthusiasm, leading to conversations with 35 event organizers across 25 countries and 5 continents.

That response has shaped how Crankworx is approaching this next phase. Rather than rushing to lock in a calendar, we’re taking the time to get this right. And that means listening closely to the people who will actually race, host, and build this series with us.

“Enduro has been given a chance to learn from its short history, hit the reset button and start fresh with a blank canvas, an extremely rare opportunity. Having the riders voice as a part of those conversations is so important and Crankworx has absolutely given us a seat at the table”, Greg Callaghan, one of the most experienced Enduro athletes globally says. “Crankworx has been really open with us every step of the way and genuinely curious to hear what the collective rider group wants to see from a global Enduro series. [..] I can see the top level of the sport getting back to its roots, exploring new destinations and racing on the world’s best trails.”

Crankworx is working in close collaboration with the Enduro Athlete Advisory Group, which represents the broader Enduro athlete community, and holding regular check-ins with the wider athlete base to make sure their interests stay central to how this series takes shape. Alongside those conversations, ongoing discussions with the UCI, destinations, and teams are held to ensure that this “once-in-a-generation” opportunity to shape Enduro Mountain Biking is done right.

At the moment, we’re working to bring together the visions that athletes, destinations, organizers, and teams all have to create the best and most sustainable version of the series for everyone involved.

The energy and support we’ve seen so far has made us more optimistic than ever about where the sport of Enduro can go. More details, including race calendar updates, will follow as they’re confirmed.
