FAQ

DO I NEED TO BE AVAILABLE ALL WEEK?

Not at all! Even if you’re only available for a few hours during the week, that will be a huge help to us. Depending on each volunteer’s availability and interests, we’ll figure out which assignments would be a good fit to meet everyone’s needs. Of course, the more time you can spare, the more we’ll want to keep you on board!

IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT TO VOLUNTEER?

Yes, the minimum age requirement is 12, and all minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Certain positions are also reserved for people over the age of 18, such as marshals, first aid teams, and crowd control teams.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING FOR MY VOLUNTEER DAY?

The key is to plan ahead! We recommend checking the weather forecast and bringing a bag with a few extra items to ensure you stay comfortable during your volunteer work. We recommend:

  • Clothing suitable for the weather (sun, rain, wind—sometimes all in the same day!)
  • Closed-toe shoes suitable for mountainous terrain
  • Hat, cap, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a reusable water bottle
IS A MEAL PROVIDED?

Yes, a meal is provided to our volunteers who are with us all day. All our volunteers, regardless of how long they spend with us, are also welcome to help themselves to the various snacks available in the volunteer lounge at the base of the mountain. It is very important to bring your own reusable water bottle; refill stations will be available throughout the site.

WHERE DO I GO ONCE I GET THERE?

Parking is reserved for volunteers on-site to make your arrival easier, and our team will welcome you at the Mont-Sainte-Anne Ski School. We will send an email with all this information to our volunteers about a week before the event.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY VOLUNTEER CONFIRMATION AND SCHEDULE?

Our team will use the availability and interests you provided when you registered on the volunteer platform to assign various roles to our volunteers. Confirmations and individual schedules will be sent to you by email approximately two weeks before the event.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING?

The main perk is definitely being part of the success of this first edition of Crankworx at Mont-Sainte-Anne, while meeting passionate and fascinating people! But beyond that, an exclusive happy hour for our volunteers will wrap up this week-long event. Numerous prizes from our partners and exhibitors will be raffled off among all our volunteers to recognize their dedication and thank them for being part of our team.
