Crankworx Summer Series Christchurch is LIVE

The 2025 Crankworx season has officially landed in Ōtautahi Christchurch, bringing world-class competition and a stacked rider line-up to Christchurch Adventure Park from February 13 – 16.

The festival kicked off today with the first rounds of practice, setting the stage for a weekend of intense racing. To get the on-site crowd and athletes warmed up, Christchurch Adventure Park hosted the Unofficial Official Jump Jam – an electrifying best trick session that saw local talent throw down their best tricks alongside some Slopestyle heavy hitters like Patricia Druwen, Natasha Miller, and Mia Moore.

On Saturday, athletes will get a chance to tackle the brand-new Redemption Downhill track featuring technical rock gardens, big jumps, and challenging high-speed sections. 2023 King of Crankworx and Aotearoa rider Tuhoto-Ariki Pene confirms after his first two laps of practice: “It’s actually pretty cool! It’s a bit tech up top, and through the middle it’s a rough, rough rock garden, and then the bottom is just a big sprint. So, it’s a bit of a mixture, but so far, just rolling in the lines. So yeah, I’m enjoying it!” Keep an eye out for the full breakdown on @crankworxsummerseries where Tegan Cruz and Seth Stylie take us through the official course preview.

As the sun sets on this festival’s Super Saturday, the Christchurch Pump Track Challenge kicks off under the lights. Reigning Pump Track World Champions Sabina Košárková and Ryan Gilchrist will take on head-to-head battles on the purpose-built new course, designed to leave its mark on the local riding scene.

Closing out the festival, the first-ever Gold Cup Slopestyle finals in New Zealand will see local talent face off against some of the world’s top freeride athletes. Familiar faces from the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship (SWC), including Shealen Reno, Natasha Miller, Patricia Druwen, Griffin Paulson, Lucas Huppert, Jake Atkinson, and Ben Thompson, will take on rising stars like Kaidan Ingersoll, Tobey Miley, Liam Baylis, Jordy Scott, and Mia Moore, and many more.
