Crankworx World Tour

The Crankworx World Tour is a multi-stop series of mountain biking that unites the sport’s top athletes, rising talent, and the industry. It all began in Whistler, BC, in 2004 and evolved into a global tour of the world’s largest mountain bike festivals hosted in some of the most exciting and iconic mountain bike destinations across continents.

In 2026, Crankworx will travel to:

Learn more about what goes on at each of these unique festivals with the battle for the Overall Downhill Series Championship, King and Queen of Crankworx, the Triple Crown of Slopestyle, and the new Slopestyle Super League.

Slopestyle Super League

Kicking off in 2026, the Slopestyle Super League (SSL) was introduced to further evolve and strengthen the sport of Slopestyle Mountain Biking. The league offers more opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest level of FMB-sanctioned Slopestyle competition, for event organizers to host the world’s best athletes, and for fans to follow season-long battles. Including competitions hosted by Crankworx and other event organizers, the SSL season is structured into two main parts: the Regular Season and the Playoffs.

While the number of Regular Season events will be based on the number of confirmed Gold and Diamond Level events within the FMB World Tour Calendar each year, the inaugural season hosts two Gold and three Diamond Events. At the end of the Regular Season, the top riders will advance straight to round two of the Playoffs, the official Slopestyle Super League Finals.

The Playoffs consist of two rounds of competition. Starting with a first round where athletes who have not advanced to Finals yet can compete for the last of the coveted spots. The SSL Finals will crown the Slopestyle Super League World Champions at the end of the season – a title that pre-qualifies for all FMB-sanctioned Diamond Events of the coming season.

Triple Crown of Slopestyle

The Triple Crown of Slopestyle represents the near-impossible, as a rider must win three Crankworx Diamond Level events in a single season to wear the crown. In 2015, the Triple Crown of Slopestyle was created to push the sport of mountain biking outside its limits with an award sitting just beyond the grasp of most riders.

King and Queen of Crankworx

The race to be crowned King or Queen of the Crankworx World Tour is a challenge built for the core Crankworx athlete. This season-long, multidisciplinary battle tabulates results across events, disciplines and global Crankworx festivals, in an epic test of a riders’ skill and will. Racing from the Southern Hemisphere to Whistler, athletes aim to collect as many points as possible for a shot at winning this coveted title.

Crankworx Downhill Series

Highlighting the most consistent Elite-level riders across Crankworx Downhill races, the Crankworx Downhill Series adds a new competitive layer to the festival series, featuring top athletes battling for points across iconic events.

The 2026 Crankworx series offer unique challenges and epic racing opportunities across all festivals:

CWNEXT

CWNEXT (pronounced C-W-Next) includes categories for young men and women, in the following age classes: 13-14, 15-16, 17-18.

This category for the next generation is run alongside the main Crankworx events, separately from Kidsworx. It bridges the gap between Kidsworx and Crankworx competition and provides a development path for young athletes.

The creation of CWNEXT category involves the following:

  • the addition of new categories to existing events
  • the inclusion of younger racers in existing events
  • a shift of existing junior categories under the CWNEXT umbrella
