Kidsworx Enduro


The Kidsworx Enduro packs all the challenge of the adult enduros into a course designed specifically for competitive 7-12-year-old racers. Get ready to take on a multi-stage race with strong climbs and a combination of bike park and valley terrain. The 2016 race was our first crack at children’s enduro racing and we’re super keen for more. Full details are on the way, but some info from last year is posted below!

TRANSITION to Start Line
From the Lost Lake parking lot (note: you cannot park there!)
Go right onto Lost Lake loop
Turn right (just past the washrooms) onto Molly Hogan
650 meters up Molly Hogan, Grand Wazoo will be on your right. (Marshals will be there to direct you.)

STAGE 1 (8:30am-9:45am)

Grand Wazoo – from the flat section, 3 turns in after the switch backs

Lost Lake Trail via Cedar Way (Lost Lake loop towards PassivHaus)
Turn right onto Tin Pants near Lost Lake PassivHaus
Up Tin Pants to Gypsy Drum

STAGE 2 (9:00am-10:15am)

Event Information & Formats

For those in the age 7-8 category, qualification standards must be met before registering in order to compete. Contact Leila Phillipson at

Entry Fee: $45 (plus tax)

Lift tickets are required to access the start of the Whistler Bike Park race stages.  Discounted lift tickets for race days will be available at the onsite check-in.  All tickets MUST be purchased at initial registration/check-in.  Lost tickets cannot be replaced.

Registration and onsite Check-in

Advance registration is required. Online registration closes at 5pm on August 9 – or earlier if race sells out it advance. Cancellation deadline is 5pm on August 9th.

Space permitting, onsite entry (at the Kidsworx registration center) will be available Thursday, August 10th. No “day of” registration will be offered.Onsite Check-in / Race Plate Pickup will be done at Blackcomb Daylodge the day prior to the race, Thursday August 10th: 2:30pm – 6:30pm.

No check-in will be available on Friday morning. Advance arrangements to complete the WAIVER will need to be made by a parent or legal guardian if they will not be accompanying their child at the onsite registration. (If you registered online, you’ve already completed the waiver).

Racers must be a minimum of 7 years old as calculated by December 31, 2017. Meaning any child born in 2010 is eligible to compete.

7-8 years old must be signed off by a DFX coach and/or DFX supervisor (daily or club program) in order to register and compete. All registrations will be reviewed by Kidsworx coordinator Leila Phillipson, 3 timed downhill stages (combination of Whistler Bike Park and Whistler Valley trails). Untimed transitions.

Recommended strong intermediate and above riding ability

All kids under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult to the top of the Whistler Bike Park stage(s)

Parents are allowed to follow their child down the race course for training ONLY. A discounted parent race-day lift ticket (valid August 11th only) can be purchased at the Kidsworx Check-in center (Blackcomb Daylodge) at the August 10th check-in from 2:30pm – 6:30pm.

Mandatory protective equipment: Protective equipment rentals are available at G1 rentals, located in the Whistler Village Gondola building under the GLC.

Schedule: TBD Expect stage 1 to start between 8-9am

Full face helmet (for timed downhill stages – XC helmet can be worn on untimed transitions), chest armor, knee pads, elbow pads and gloves.
