For the first time ever, in 2021, Crankworx Rotorua will become the final stop of the Crankworx World Tour where we will see the King & Queen of Crankworx crowned and the final event of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship (SWC) season.
Crankworx Rotorua 2021 will be planned as a full Crankworx World Tour festival, including a stacked roster of international athletes, pro, amateur and CWNEXT race categories, Kidsworx competitions, and an expo within the ticketed venue.
The event will be held at Skyline Rotorua and will require tickets to enter. Events will include Maxxis Slopestyle in Memory of McGazza, Rockshox Pump Track Rotorua presented by Torpedo7, CLIF Speed & Style Rotorua presented by Mons Royale, Crankworx Rotorua Downhill presented by Gull, Specialized Dual Slalom Rotorua, TREK Official Oceania Whip-Off Championships, Crankworx Rotorua Air DH and a full line up of Kidsworx activities and events.
Organisers will be working with local health authorities during the planning of Crankworx Rotorua so the ultimate experience in mountain biking to life in 2021. Crankworx’s #1 priority is rider, staff, festival attendee, and community safety.
Plan Your Trip
Crankworx Rotorua sets up shop on New Zealand’s North Island, shaking up crowds in an area known for its explosive capacity. With boiling mud, steamy hot springs and geysers routinely shooting 30 feet of water in the air, the Volcanic Plateau where Rotorua sits is a perfect home for gravity-fuelled antics. Those who come out to join us can enjoy touring spectacular glaciers, picturesque fjords, mountains, plains, subtropical forest and miles of gorgeous sandy coastline, when not taking in the competition circuit, of course.
Rotorua has an amazing selection of hotels with something for every budget. Whether you choose to be central to town or close to the Whakarewarewa Forest trails – we’ve got you covered. Many of our hotel partners also have mountain bike storage and wash down facilities if you’re bringing your bike with you.
