Crankworx Rotorua took flight in March of 2015, becoming the first Crankworx festival outside of North America and Europe. Since then it’s played host to some of the most memorable moments in Crankworx history.
For the first time ever, in 2021, Crankworx Rotorua will become the final stop of the Crankworx World Tour where we will see the King & Queen of Crankworx crowned and the final event of the Crankworx FMBA Slopestyle World Championship (SWC) season.
Crankworx Rotorua 2021 will be going ahead from 1 – 7 November 2021 (with events at Skyline Rotorua taking place from the 3 – 7 November) - however no spectators will be allowed onsite this year. Fans can catch all the action on Red Bull TV.
Unfortunately no spectators will be allowed onsite at Crankworx Rotorua 2021.
Plan Your Trip
Crankworx Rotorua sets up shop on New Zealand’s North Island, shaking up crowds in an area known for its explosive capacity. With boiling mud, steamy hot springs and geysers routinely shooting 30 feet of water in the air, the Volcanic Plateau where Rotorua sits is a perfect home for gravity-fueled antics. Those who come out to join us can enjoy touring spectacular glaciers, picturesque fjords, mountains, plains, subtropical forest and miles of gorgeous sandy coastline, when not taking in the competition circuit, of course.
Rotorua has an amazing selection of hotels with something for every budget. Whether you choose to be central to town or close to the Whakarewarewa Forest trails – we’ve got you covered. Many of our hotel partners also have mountain bike storage and wash down facilities if you’re bringing your bike with you.
