The ultimate test of skill for young athletes. The event takes competitors down Centipede trail. Riders will have a chance to test their speed and skills against athletes in their age group.

This is not a timed ride, it is a participation event designed to encourage fun and rider skill development.

Note there is an amount of hike-a-bike required to reach the trailhead for the start of the hot lap, all riders will be escorted by KWX/CWX volunteers and staff.

  • Sunday 21st May: 9.00am – 12.00pm

Entry fee: $35.00 (inc. all taxes and commissions) plus all participants must have a 2023 Crankworx pass for day of their registered Kidsworx activity.

Age Categories:

  • 7yrs – 8yrs (must ride with a parent/adult)
  • 9yrs – 10yrs
  • 11yrs – 12yrs

Course: A 600m blue rated Intermediate flow trail that descends over 50m into the CWX Event Village
120 riders total, 4 guides/instructors per group [maximum ratio 1:8)
All participants will get a Kidsworx medal and limited edition Kidsworx Race Plate
Groups are divided into intermediate/advanced ability levels
Must BYO suitable MTB and Aust. Certified helmet
One parent/guardian must follow their child if in the 7yrs – 8yrs age group
Presentations on the Crankworx stage including random draw for prizes thanks to our KWX supporters
All riders & parents must arrive at 8.30am for registration and rider briefing at 9.00am
