Kidsworx & WORCA XC

We’re back with another adventure in the trails of Whistler. The Kidsworx XC will give young riders the chance to work their gears and test their strength in the world famous Whistler Valley Trail network. Course length will vary slightly based on age with each age group facing a more challenging ride than their younger counterparts. Previous courses have been through the Blackcomb trails from Base 2 and the trail network by the Cheakamus River from Cheakamus Crossing. This year we’re returning to the local favourites in the Lost Lake Zappa trail network.

Registration

Online registration will open on Wednesday July 19th 2023 at 10:00 PDT
Registration Deadline: Registration is open to Thursday July 25th at 23:59 PDT (unless race sells out in advance). There will be no onsite registration.

If you have a Kidsworx plate from other events, you will not need an additional plate.

The first page requires a parent/guardian to create an ‘Athlete Profile’ for themselves. THEN scroll to the bottom of the page and click ADD in the section marked “Manage Additional Athletes”. You will then create a profile for each child you wish to register for events.

Please use the same athlete profile to register for all Kidsworx events.

$40 CAD (includes 5% GST)
All athletes will require a WORCA membership which can be purchased HERE

Cancellation Policy

Entry fees are refundable (less processing fee) providing cancellation notice is received in writing to kidsworx@crankworx.com by the registration deadline. Registration deadline is July 25th at 23:59 PDT. All entries are non-refundable or transferable after the registration deadline (even in the case of injury or mechanical problems).

Protection Rules

Bike helmet and gloves. Recommended elbow and knee covering.

Plate Pick Up

Race plate pick up will be available at the Kidsworx Registration Centre in the AAVA Hotel on Wednesday 26th from 10am to 12pm.
If you have a Kidsworx plate from other events, you will not need an additional plate.

Course

Race will be run by age group in a mass start format by age group. One parent/guardian may follow their athlete in the 7-8 years and 9-10 years categories providing they start from the back of the group.

There will be a Lead and Tail team member on course for each category.

8:45am Rider Briefing for 7-8 years racers
9am 7-8 years Boys and Girls start
9:15 am Rider briefing for 9-10 years racers
9:25am 9-10 years Boys and Girls start
9:40am Rider briefing for 11-12 years racers
9:50am 11-12 Boys and Girls start
