iXS Innsbruck Downhill presented by Raiffeisen Club

On Sunday all eyes will be on the downhill course in Götzens. Packed with jumps, roots and technical sections, it will see top international riders and fast locals go up against each other in a race against the clock. This spectacular event is perfect for spectators in search of thrilling action. Come along, cheer on the riders and get ready to have your mind blown!

LIVE TIMING

Am Sonntag sind alle Augen auf die Downhillstrecke in Götzens gerichtet. Auf der naturbelassenen Strecke können sich die Fahrer auf Jumps, Wurzeln und technische Passagen freuen. Internationale Topfahrer treffen auf schnelle Locals und das einzige was zählt ist die Frage „Wer gewinnt den Kampf gegen die Stoppuhr?“. Für Zuschauer gibt’s jedenfalls eine Menge zu sehen – hinkommen, anfeuern, staunen – ist die Devise!

ONSITE CHECKIN / PLATE COLLECTION

Race Office is at the downhill base in Götzens
Thursday June 14 | 11:00AM-17:00PM
Friday June 15 | 8:30AM-2:00PM
(deadline. Riders who have not checked in by 2pm Friday will be removed from the start list)

Riders will be issued race plate and back number. Plates must be on bikes for both training and race. Back numbers only need to be worn for race day.

FESTIVAL PASS
Riders will also receive a Festival wristband which is valid for venue access at both Petzens / Götzens.   The white "Athlete "wristband will be valid for access on the Mutter list on Friday for riders wanting to watch the Whip at the Lake.
Each racer will also receive one additional wristband - for mechanics, coaches, family / friends.  Additional tickets are available at : http://www.crankworx.com/innsbruck/tickets/

LIFT TICKETS
Riders will receive lift pass valid for 4 days of access (Thursday - Sunday) on the Gotzens lift .
The start of the course can be accessed from the mid station of the Gotzens lift .

Note : it is not possible to load the Gondola at the midstation - only from the main terminal at the bottom or from the top station to download.
On race day only, there will be shuttles at the mid station for mechanics  / support staff to download back to the base.

FORMAT
1 Run - no seeding run.
Start order will be based on a combination of current UCI rankings and past World Cup DH rankings, Crankworx World Tour DH Series Rankings and results, and other relevant results.

Minimum age is 15 (year of birth 2003).

TRAINING GROUPS
Training Group A = riders with UCI ranking points. All other riders will be in Training Group B.  Training Group Assignments

RACE LICENSES
All racers will need to have an international UCI license issued by their national cycling federation. No one-event licenses will be available .

Licenses must be presented at the onsite checkin.  Photos and digital confirmations accepted.

RULES

PROTECTION RULES
Following rules apply during both training and race days . It is MANDATORY for riders to wear:
– A full-face helmet
– Knee, elbow and back protection
– Gloves with full hand protection
– Shirt with at least short sleeves

A neck brace and shoulder pads are highly recommended.
Helmets must be full face and of a one-piece design. Slimmed down ‘Enduro’ full face helmets are not advised. Helmet straps must be closed on course.

 

PARKINGS
A dedicated Athlete parking option will be provided in Götzens at the event site. First come, first served.
Further public parking options will be provided in Mutters/Götzen 10 minutes’ walk away from each event site.

CAMPERS
There will be an athletes parking in Götzens (DH venue) – but camping is no permitted at this site .
There is a campground about 10 minutes away from Götzens (next to the Natterer Lake http://www.natterersee.com/ )

TRANSPORT

Public Shuttle from Innsbruck to the event site: June 13th – 17th
The Crankworx Innsbruck public shuttle bus stop at the main train station is located within walking distance (5min) from the aDLERS Hotel. It runs from the main train station to Mutters – Götzens – return to the main train station.

Crankworx Innsbruck Bikepark Shuttle: Mutters – Götzens – Mutters – Götzens
There will also be a shuttle bus service between the two venues. The shuttle bus will operate with a bike trailer.

Die Anmeldung ist seit 23. April 2018 geöffnet und muss verpflichtend online erfolgen. Es sind keine Anmeldungen vor Ort möglich. Mindestalter: 15 Jahre (Geburtsjahr 2003)

Rennlizenzen:

Alle Fahrer brauchen eine internationale UCI-Lizenz eines nationalen Radsportverbands. Es werden keine einmaligen Event-Lizenzen ausgegeben.

Format und Regeln:

Ein Run – keine Ausscheidungsrunden.

Die Startreihenfolge basiert auf aktuellen UCI Rankings, vergangene World Cup DH Rankings, Crankworx World Tour Series Rankings und anderen relevanten Ergebnissen.

Trainingsgruppen:

Die Fahrer werden in zwei Gruppen aufgeteilt. Gruppe A = Fahrer mit UCI-Punkten. Gruppe B = Fahrer ohne UCI-Punkte.
