Crankworx Rotorua Day Five Was Everything We Never Knew We Needed

By now it comes as no surprise that the rains of Rotorua are relentless.

Crankworx Rotorua day five saw more liquid sunshine, but undefeated and rather determined, riders gave it their all.

Rockshox Pump Track presented by Torpedo7 had us amped and ready to go early in the morning because let’s be real, there’s no better way to spend a Saturday than out on the trails.

From Bas van Steenbergen taking home his first Crankworx Pump Track gold medal to Caroline Buchanan returning to the Crankworx podium in epic style, we didn’t think it could get any better…

But then it did.

Specialized Dual Slalom Rotorua was a whole lot of fun, where muddy conditions made for many laughs, impressive bike control, and some unexpected shake ups in the standings.

Here’s your behind-the-scenes look at what went down yesterday…

Jenna Hastings, Kialani Hines, and Martha Gill celebrating their hard earned wins!

So yeah, Crankworx Rotorua day five was everything that we never knew we needed.

Before we draw Crankworx Rotorua to a close, we’ve got one more event left to go… you know what it is.

Maxxis Slopestyle in Memory of McGazza will be going down today, bringing with it so many questions.

Will Emil Johansson land the Triple Crown of Slopestyle? Will Griffin Paulson make his way to the Crankworx podium? Will we see something entirely unexpected and new?

Make sure you tune in live to find out!
