Crankworx Innsbruck – Tirol’s Five Best Singletrack Rides

You’ve pulled the pin. Crankworx Innsbruck is officially on your calender this year. Excellent. But what would going full send on a Crankworx World Tour Stop be without adding in some time to sample the local riding? To help you find more about what’s on offer, our friends from Tirol have rounded up their top rides in the region.
From rocky, rooty old-school gnar to expansive alpine singletrack, Tirol is steeped in mountain biking lore. Among the 80+ singletrack trails throughout the region, Arzler Alm Trail, Blindsee Trail, Fleckalm Trail, Leiterberg Trail and Plamort Trail are five of the very best trails that you’ll need to ride. With the help of an expert jury of local riders these “Great Trails” are rated by weighing the following ranking factors: type of terrain, flow, length, technical difficulty, natural beauty and setting.
A blend of natural and machine-built singletrack, each of these trails has its own distinct personality that can be tackled with most trail and enduro bikes. Demanding agility, stamina, and grit, they offer big views and access to rustic mountain lodges and pubs— ideal for those well-earned beers after an epic day in the saddle.
These five “Great Trails” in Tirol are well described in most guides and trail maps, well marked and open to mountain bikers of all ability levels.
