At just 24-years-old, Mitch ‘Rope-a-dope’ Ropelato has already managed to string together a long list of podium finishes, amounting to an exceptional Crankworx career that includes eight medals and a King of Crankworx title (which he earned at just 19). Unsurprisingly, his life on two-wheels started very young – he was a three-year-old ripper “riding around the farm and building jumps.” He then moved to competing in moto events, eventually shifting his focus to mountain biking in 2009. The following year, he attended his first Crankworx in Whistler, an experience he left his mark on, winning two medals, and that left a mark on him: “To this day there is one event I will never miss and that is Crankworx Whistler…definitely one of the best races of the year.”
