For over 10 years, Mick ‘Sik Mik’ Hannah has been one of Crankworx’ most consistent competitors. His racing career started at just six-years-old in 1989, with his first Crankworx coming around the early days of the fest. “The experience has had the same feel to it from the beginning until now even though the events have progressed so much! I love the atmosphere and the chance to ride with riders from all the gravity disciplines in one place.” Over his many years of racing and many podiums, he says there are some moments that stand out above the rest, including “…standing with Stevie [Smith] on the podium of the Air DH and the Canadian Open DH in 2013 when he was having his best year. More recently it was Tracey [Hannah – Mick’s sister] winning the women’s [Canadian Open DH presented by iXS] and our all Aussie top 3 in the men’s Canadian Open DH in 2016.”
