Love child of dual slalom and freestyle, the Speed and Style event is the ultimate window on the future of freeride, especially with the 2013 introduction of an open qualifier race early in the day, which will field the top 3 emerging talents into the finals, to make or break it against the pros.

They’ll join an invitational field of top Dual Slalom racers and slopestyle superstars, racing through side-by-side tricked-out Dual Tracks. Fastest down wins the speed points.

But speed doesn’t trump style. Racers earn a time credit for style accrued via mid-race Supermans, backflips and spins. Out-ride. Out-trick. Outrageous.
