Men: Boys (13-15), Junior Male (16-18), Senior Amateur Male (19-29), Master Amateur Male (30+), Pro Male

Women: Junior Amateur Female (13-18), Senior Amateur Female (19+), Pro Female

* Age calculated as the date of the event. Organizers may, depending on registration totals for a particular competition, consolidate certain age classes.
All competitors must be at least 13 years old (calculated as of the date of the race)


ATHLETE CENTRE
Aava Hotel (next to the Whistler Driving Range / Whistler Conference Centre).
Hours: August 9-18 | 9am – 3pm
No event day registration; only race package pickups. Registration closes at 3pm (space permitting) the day prior to the each race / competition.

Online: $60 - 70 depending on category (plus GST)
Onsite: $10 surcharge per race


LIFT TICKETS
Discounted Whistler Bike Park day passes for training and race days will be available at the Athlete Centre. Race day $15. Training $48 (adult 19+) / $45 (youth 13-18). Special 10 day Crankworx ticket available $325 (can be converted to a Triple Play pass for discounted tickets following Crankworx). All tickets MUST be purchased at initial registration/checkin. Lost tickets cannot be replaced.


LICENSES / MEDICAL INSURANCE
With the exception of the Canadian Open DH and Canadian Open XC, none of the races/competitions are sanctioned by Cycling BC / Canadian Cycling Association. Competitors will not require a license to compete; nor will be they be covered by their UCI insurance (if applicable) during training and competition. The Canadian Open DH and Canadian Open XC will have Canada Cup categories (requiring a UCI license) and amateur / open categories.

An EMBA (Enduro Mountain Bike Association) membership will be required for those wishing to collect Enduro World Series Points. Click here to become a Member.


WAIVERS
All competitors must complete an Event Waiver/Release of Liability. If you are under 19, you will need for a parent or legal guardian to complete your Waiver. Minors who will be traveling unaccompanied to the event should bring the completed Waiver to the Athlete Centre. If you cannot arrange to bring the original completed waiver to the Athlete Centre, please send a scanned copy of the completed waiver to athletes@crankworx.com.

CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations received by 12noon PST August 8 will incur a $20 administrative fee. Refunds are NOT available after August 8.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO ENTER?
Minimum age is 13, calculated as of the race day.

CAN US AND INTERNATIONAL CITIZENS RACE?
There are no restrictions.

DO I NEED A LICENSE?

Both pro and amateur categories are offered for most competitions (except Dual Speed and Style (invitational), Teva Best Trick (invitational), Red Bull Joyride (invitational), Ultimate Pumptrack Challenge (restricted to pros) and Fat Tire Crit (only open men/women category). Athletes can select to register either as an Amateur (Junior, Senior or Master as applicable) or a Pro (no age classes).

WHEN CAN I REGISTER?
Online registration for all events will start June 1.

IS THERE ONSITE REGISTRATION?
Space permitting, onsite registration will be available. No day-of registration will be offered, only check-in for pre-registered competitors. Advance registration is strongly recommended as we anticipate that most events will sell out.
Dual Speed and Style, Red Bull Joyride and Teva Trick Showdown are invitational events – no open registration

WHERE IS THE ATHLETE CENTRE LOCATED?
Athlete Centre will be located in the Aava Hotel (next to the Whistler Golf Club Driving Range / across from the Whistler Conference Centre (www.whistler.com/aava). The Athlete Centre will be open from 9am-3pm, August 9-18.

DO I NEED A LIFT TICKET?
Lift tickets are required to access the start of the Air DH, Garbanzo DH, Canadian Open DH and Canadian Open Enduro courses. A special Peak Chair is also required for the Enduro race.
The Dual Slalom course is located at the base of the mountain. Shuttles will be available on competition days.

DO RIDERS GET LIFT LINE PRIORITY?
Racers in the Garbanzo DH, Fox Air DH, Canadian Open and Canadian Open Enduro will have lift line priority on the Fitzsimmons Chair on race day only (not training days) from 10am to 5pm. Entrance next to the Patrol / Bike Guide line. Race plates displaying event must be attached to bike.

HOW DO I FIND OUT WHAT TIME I'LL BE RACING?
Check the individual event pages for the schedule. Start Order will be as follows for all DH races: Junior Women, Amateur Women, Boys 13-15, Master Men 30+, Amateur Men 19-29, Junior Men 16-18, 4 Wheels (where applicable), Pro Women, Pro Men. Start Lists (indicating more precise start times) will be posted online at crankworx.com and at the Athlete Centre / bottom of the GLC on the morning of race day

DO I HAVE TO WEAR A FULL FACE HELMET?
With the exception of the Fat Tire Crit, Ultimate Pumptrack Challenge, Dual Speed and Style, and the transition stages of the Canadian Enduro, full face helmets must be worn during official training and during the race.

ARE THERE PHYSIO / MASSAGE SERVICES AVAILABLE FOR THE ATHLETES?
Registered Massage Therapists from Peak Performance will be providing complimentary taping, massage therapy and physiotherapy services on competition days - in a tent next to the Excalibur Gondola (across from Black's Pub).
