(This is a Competitive Down Hill Event, involving difficult features (each with an alternate route) for children Born 2008 to 2012)

A large step up in difficulty and competition from the Hipster Downhill, this race is designed to challenge even the most competent young shredders. There are also 3 main features; The GT Gap, a Table-Top and The Ladder Drop, which all have alternate routes for the less skilled riders.

Fastest rider down the 1.5km trail run wins.

Spaces are limited, and you will need to pre-register to hit the track.

Prospective DATE: Saturday 7th March 2020

Prospective TIME: 7:30am to 11:30am

Age 8 – 10 boys (Born 2010 to 2012)
Age 8 – 10 girls (Born 2010 to 2012)
Age 11 – 12 boys (Born 2008 to 2009)

Age 11 – 12 girls (Born 2008 to 2009)
(Where minimum numbers are not reached, amalgamations will be made)

PRIZES: Cankworx podium medals are awarded.

Entry is limited. Pre-registration is mandatory. Online registration opens 20 January, 9am NZDT.

Entry is $15 to participate in this Kidsworx Event.

All participants and spectating family members must have a general admission ticket for Crankworx. Purchase a ticket here.

Sprint Warrior is an intermediate to advanced graded trail. Starting off at an intermediate level at the top, before heading into the advanced bottom section with berms, step downs and jumps.

There are 3 main advanced features on this run. Each feature has an alternate line for less skilled riders. Please ensure that your child is capable of deciding which line they have the ability to ride safely in order to enter them in this race.


Event Information & Formats

PRACTICE: Once the participant has their number plate, they may load the gondola and commence practice from 7:30am. Please check the Seeding Run order. No rider may begin a practice run after 8:00am.

SEEDING: Every rider must complete a seeding run. There is only time for 1 seeding run. The seeding order will be based on time not gender.

RACE: The slowest seeded rider will start their race-run first, with pre-set intervals between each rider.
