Kokanee Crankworx Media Accreditation

Accreditation is granted to media covering sports, travel and mountain biking on a regular basis and assigned by recognized media to cover Kokanee Crankworx. Our Communications Team is available to provide assistance for all media outlets, journalists and freelancers needing more information, images, videos and interviews, and to those who are interested in experiencing and reporting on the Kokanee Crankworx.

IMPORTANT DATES

June 1 - Online media accreditation open

July 4 - Media Accreditation Status Confirmation

July 15-24 - Media Centre opens for accreditation pickup and inquiries

July 15-24 - Kokanee Crankworx

Note: Kokanee Crankworx cannot guarantee accreditation for late registrants. If a late registration is accepted, processing will take 24 hours.

MEDIA SERVICES AT THE FESTIVAL

  • Located in the Aava Whistler Hotel
  • Pick-up for media accreditation passes
  • Media assets are available and media will be able to schedule interviews.
  • Assistance with general resort information.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR MEDIA APPLICATION
Please include all the required documents for your type of position:

Print journalist (newspapers, magazines)

  • A completed press application form
  • An official assignment letter signed by the editor-in-chief and officially stamped by the given media firm

Broadcast journalist

  • A completed press application form
  • An official assignment letter and a brief description of the program and TV station

Radio journalist

  • A completed press application form
  • An official assignment letter

On-line journalist

  • A completed press application form
  • An official assignment letter
  • Current number of hits for website according to the official counter
  • A copy of at least two articles you have recently published

Photographer

  • A completed press application form
  • An official assignment letter

Freelancer (journalist, photographer)

  • A completed press application form
  • An official assignment letter by assigning media outlet
  • Links to at least two articles, photos, you have recently published
  • Please note that if you are not assigned by a specific media to cover the event, the Festival will not provide an accreditation.
